As March comes to a close, milder temperatures including highs in the 50’s are expected for the weekend. However, as April begins next week, will we continue to spring ahead or might we slip back into a winter-like pattern?
Saturday into Sunday afternoon: Fair skies, highs reaching into the low to mid-50’s.
Sunday night into Monday: Cold front passes through bringing rain showers and cooler air.
(Next) Tuesday and Wednesday: Temperatures fall return to below average levels.
High pressure is expected to move off the Southeast coast by this weekend. This will allow for winds to shift towards the NW and eventually W. The result will be milder air. Highs can top out around 50 degrees on Saturday, but mid-50’s are possible on Sunday before a cold front approaches the area.
The Euro and GFS show a cold front passing through Sunday night or early Monday, bringing a period of rain showers through the area. Behind the cold front, cooler are is likely.
