My Forecast Thoughts for MidWeek This Week
As of Monday AM, there are many scenarios in the computer modeling. Some say a snowstorm for Southern New England with a more Southerly Track, some say a More Northerly Track with all Rain for the I-95 Corridor. But one thing most forecasters will say is certain, is that this will change with each model run from now until Wednesday. The storm system shown above will be bringing the Northern Plains an "All out Blizzard" Tuesday PM/Wednesday AM, with Blizzard Watches already in Effect from the NWS. Then as the storm moves out of the Northern Plains States, on a path which would take the Center Over Chicago, would then Continue moving in the general direction East Toward New England on Wednesday and Thursday. Note, the computer models are still everywhere on the exact track of the storm, but the way I see it, there are 2 Likely Scenarios Wednesday/Thursday for New England. 1; as shown in the graphic I made above, creating a Mix right along the immediate 95 Corridor, with Mainly Snow just north of that with Strong, Gusty Winds along the coast, with Rain in the Northern Mid-Atlantic States. Alternatively, (2), the Storm may move either on a More North Easterly Heading, moving all of the precip. shown above North by several Miles, bringing A Mix to Mainly Rain for the 95 Corridor, and Snow in Extreme Northern New England. Or, a more South Easterly Heading South of NYC, bringing a decent potential Snowstorm for much of the Big I-95 Cities and Northern Mid-Atlantic. As of Monday, there are still many uncertainties to be ironed out in the coming days, and this could all change, but just keep in mind, there is the Possibility of a Substantial Winter Storm for parts of New England Wednesday into Thursday this week.
>My personal forecast opinion on this, (as of the writing of this article) is the graphic shown above, with maybe Snowfall Totals up in the Double Digits" in the Blue Shaded area, and A Rain/Snow/Sleet Mix for the 95 Corridor.
-No matter What Scenario Happens, it is already near certain that March should come roaring in like a lion for much of New England in some form of precipitation mid week this week!
