It was 7:15am MST and I was awaken by the cold arctic howl of the passing front. When i got up and made it to the window I was disappointed to say the least. The NWS was calling for a 3-6' snowfall and it was a tough forecast according to Mike at the Canyons resort, which is where I'm staying for the week. After gearing up I headed for the mountain to see some awesome clouds flying tover the 9990 peak probably because of a very swift moving jet stream. This also caused all of the back country areas to be closed so I stayed on all the groomers toda and enjoyed myself as best i could for the conditions my board was ripping into.
