Whether you favor Microcast over Adonis, one thing is certain we have rain on the way across CT for tomorrow...As an unsettled batch of rain pushes towards the NE, the early to middle part of the week looks like a wash. In addition colder air starts to slide in, so we will begin to feel cooler than average temperatures for the next couple of days. Now models aren't completely agreeing with the timing of the rain across The Nutmeg State, so as you look at our Microcast model, notice that the rain will already touch on parts of Litchfield and Hartford counties by 1PM. However on Adonis the rain doesn't time out until later in the evening. In addition Microcast pushed the system out faster than Adonis does, with both models agreeing that the more moderate rain is expected through the overnight hours into early morning Wednesday. Adonis hangs onto the rain through late Wednesday...There appears to be more readily available energy, so my thoughts are that we could likely get thunder through the overnight hours Tuesday into Wednesday.
Expected rainfall totals range between just under a quarter of an inch of rain up to over a half an inch, it won't be a washout, but it could make for a slow and slick afternoon evening commute tomorrow, and Wednesday morning.
