June 28th update:  After checking the crop reports across the state, strawberry season is coming to an end.  The estimate is that strawberries season will end around July 4th, so get out there ASAP!

I've done it most years in my life and the time has finally come.  Strawberry picking season has officially begun in Connecticut, and I'm ready to stain everything I own and eat more than I pick!  If you've lived in Connecticut for a while, you might have your "favorite spot" to go and pick, but if you're new to Connecticut, rest assured that after reading this, you will know the great local spots to go to with your family/loved ones.  Read on to find my favorite picks to pick your own!
