Still no records today or this month despite hot weather!

Today’s temperatures across the area were warmer than yesterday, with most areas getting into the 90's. Once again there were some holdouts such as New London at 85 and Norfolk at 88. Heat index’s stayed between 95 and 100 degrees, none as high as back in June, mainly because the dew points lowered into the 60's during the peak heating times.
As of now it appears that no records were set in the state today. Bradley airport hit 96, which was one degree shy of the record of 97. Bridgeport hit 93 which was 2 degrees shy. Another interesting point to note is the lack of records this summer season! In Bridgeport the only day was June 21st with 96 degrees, and at Bradley June 20th at 97 degrees, and a second day, June 21st with a tie record of 96 degrees. So although it may have seemed hot in the last month, we are not breaking records out of control like most of the Midwest and South have been doing this month!
