Another hot day out there, and the National Weather Service and CT DEEP has issued various alerts/advisories.  Here's the first one issued. This is an air quality alert for all of the southern counties including Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London Counties.  It's been issued until 11pm tonight.  Here's the NWS info:

"Southwest winds and hot surface temperatures will create a favorable environment for ozone levels exceeding the 'unhealthy for sensitive groups' threshold for the southern 4 counties of Connecticut.  An air quality action day means that ground level ozone within the region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards."
