Yesterday’s high temperatures in the state were the highest of the month, and in most stations the highest of the summer!  Temperatures were higher than predicted as the sun stayed out a bit longer. At Bradley Airport in Windsor locks the first record high of July was recorded at 100 degrees, breaking the previous record of 99. It was also the first 100 degree day of the year. Also Bridgeport tied the record high of 95 degrees!

Around the state Norfolk and New London finally got into the low 90s!

Here in Hamden at my station the high temperature was 99 degrees the highest this month and year. Combined with dew point of 77 the heat index briefly reached a high of 116!!

In addition yesterday’s morning temperatures were quite warm. Bradley Airport’s low of 77, tied the record high-low of 77.
