Precipitation this year in Connecticut up untill now continues to be below normal. Northern Connecticut has only recieved about 65 to 70% of normal rainfall. Southern Connecticut is a doing a bit better with about 80% of normal rainfall.  We still need about 4 inches on the shore to about 7 inches inland to bring it back to normal. Luckily, we are not in a drought in Connecticut as of now, compared to other locations in the Midwest. In fact over the next few days, we will likely be adding to the totals with more rain and thunderstorms in the forecast!
