A slow moving line of strong thunderstorms brought heavy downpours to much of the state this afternoon.  Many areas experienced street flooding.  At one point my Davis Vantage Pro 2 weather station data logger measured around 8.23in/hr rain rates.  INCREDIBLE!    And no doubt with the high precipitable water values we have.
