Above image shows the years we had a Neutral Summer and went into an El Nino Fall like we are this year. Notice BDR's totals for those Augusts mostly staying above their 61yr average (since 1950) 6 out of the 8 years. A different look for BDL going only 2 times above average.

BDL on average gets more rainfall in August than BDR so to see BDR have more above average Augusts during these years is interesting. Maybe a coastal El Nino Effect?

As we stand right now (as of the 11th) we are below normal but we have half the month to go.

Let's take a look at the precip totals since 1950 for BDL first.
