Despite Hurricane Warnings, Florida residents rode out the storm and it wasn't much of a deal for many residents who are far too familiar with fierce storms.
Localized looding was a story for portions of the Florida Keys, but overall, Isaac, then a Tropical Storm, didn't seem to phase Florida residents.
Aside from some gusty thunderstorms, hurricane-force conditions were not met anywhere in the state. Some feared that the Republican National Convention, in Tampa, FL., was at risk of being canceled, but Isaac passed several hundred miles west of the city.
New Orleans and Louisiana, on the other hand, haven't found Isaac very fun at all.
