It's all about the wind today...according to the National Weather Service.  In my opinion, the biggest two threats we'll have are wind and very heavy rain.  Combine the two together, in conjunction with brittle soil, and tress will fall causing a lot of power outages.  The map above shows 4 different advisories, watches, and warnings across the region.  Starting to the west of us, the yellow indicates a tornado watch, under the tornado watch in Litchfield County is a high wind warning.  Across the state we have a wind advisory, and along Long Island Sound, we have a gale warning.  Let's look at each of these in detail.
