Fall arrived on Saturday morning, but the fall-like weather will be moving in on Sunday.

Saturday night's cold front and the storms will be completely east of Connecticut by 6am. With the wind going around to the northwest behind the front, brisk weather moves in for Sunday.

The image above is the surface map at 2pm on Sunday. It's pretty clear to see that autumn cold front well to our east. The front is strong enough to push all the way south to the Gulf of Mexico, an indication of some very cool, dense air.

Northwesterly winds will be pretty active on Sunday making it feel even colder, despite the abundant sunshine. The winds should lighten up Monday and Tuesday as we continue with plenty of sunshine, but highs will only top out in the upper 60s with lows down into the lower 40s.
