Low temperatures on Monday morning "officially" dropped to 42° at our reporting stations around Connecticut. But unofficially, we are getting reports from viewers of temperatures into the upper 30s. The thing that saved us from seeing more upper 30s was the added cloud cover that was passing through the state late Sunday into early Monday.
Tonight, with less cloud cover, low humidity and a light wind, temperatures might be a degree or two colder in our coldest, inland spots.
The image above shows that Connecticut does not have any frost advisories, but there is a frost advisory very close by in Berkshire County, Massachusetts and over in New York from Ulster County northward. The advisory also extends up into Vermont and over into Northern New York State.
This tells us that our coldest suburbs to the north, west and northeast could see some patchy frost, but it should not be a widespread problem as it might be up in Mass and New York.
Temps on Tuesday and Wednesday will be warming up...back into the 70s ahead of our next cold front that brings rain Wednesday into early Thursday and another shot of cool air on Thursday that will last into the weekend.
