September was a month of transition here at my station in Hamden. The first week featured summer feel with very warm temperatures and high dew points. In fact dew points reached into the mid-70s on September 5.

Starting on Sept.9, much cooler and drier air arrived!  During the first 2.5 weeks there was very limited rainfall and it appeared that the whole month would be below normal for total rainfall. However the last 2 weeks featured 2 rain events, one on the 18th and on the 28th that doubled the final rainfall total!

Overall The high temperatures was fairly close to normal, with the low temperatures being a few degrees above normal.
