Based off the NOAA forecast, there is a good chance that some snowflakes will be mixing in with the rain this weekend. This applies for the Northwest Hills of Connecticut at elevations over 1000 feet. On the pinpoint forecast, the areas that will drop below 36 degrees should expect some flakes. The areas closer to 2000 feet in elevation are expected to drop below freezing on Sunday night which could mean a brief period of all snow. Accumulations should not be expected, however this would be very early to see a taste of wintry weather. The forecast can easily change and go up a few degrees which would limit the chance of any frozen precipitation mixing in with the rain. This is something to keep an eye on for people waiting to see the first snow of the season.
