4 p.m. update:
A cold front is beginning to sweep across Connecticut.
As of 4 p.m., readings were mainly in the 70's, but a wind shift across Litchfield County indicates that much cooler air is moving into the state.
Temperatures have already tumbled into the lower 50's across western Massachusetts and the Catskills in southeastern New York. Expect temperatures to start falling rapidly from west to east, especially as the sun goes down.
