Last weekend I took a hike in the northwest hills of Connecticut along the Appalachian Trail in Kent.  This was my 2nd trip of the year and my first since Memorial Day weekend. It was a two day hike and my brother in law and I traveled about 8 or 9 miles and camped out for one night in the woods.

We knew the weather was iffy for the weekend, but I took advantage of a window of opportunity from Saturday into early Sunday. We were rained on for a total of about 10 minutes, but thankfully it wasn’t enough to ruin it. A cold front pushed through and we dealt with temperatures in the upper 30's on Sunday morning which was quite cold.

We’re planning another trip this weekend and I’ll be taking my son this time as well. Here are some of the pictures I took on the hike.
