Happy Sunday to you...and what a soggy, cloudy start we've had. Give the rain some time to pass today, and the afternoon is expected to be dry. We've got a warm front that's moving northward causing the rain, but this front will also give us much warmer temperatures today, and even 70s tomorrow.
We're also watching some gusty conditions with a relatively tight pressure gradient. Model grid data is showing close to 30kts at 975mb, translating to about a 30mph wind at the surface for us.
We get to live in the warm sector of this system tomorrow, so temps will be downright warm. Expect highs in the 70s across the state, and we could flirt with 75 in a few places. Tomorrow afternoon, the cold front associated with this system will pass over us, so expect increasing clouds as the day moves on. According to GFS, we could see quite a bit of rain with this frontal passage Monday night, but by Tuesday, dry conditions will move back in.
Tuesday-Thursday will be dry with high pressure nearby, and a storm system moves in for Friday and next weekend. The most recent model data is indicating that it could lead to a rainy weekend, but I'll be optimistic and say that hopefully it'll turn out dry!
Enjoy your week!
