Heavy rain lingers across portions of northwestern Connecticut.

Radar shows moderate to heavy rain across Litchfield County.

2:10 p.m.
The heaviest of the rain is moving through northwestern Connecticut and will exit the state before 3 p.m. Elsewhere, scattered light showers have popped up with a few embedded areas of moderate rain.
Rainfall totals have already exceeded 1.00" in some areas.

Afternoon forecast:
Additional showers and areas of rain can pop up at any time across the state this afternoon. An isolated thunderstorm or two may pop up, especially if the sun tries to break out. Severe weather is not anticipated, but heavy rain could cause short-term localized flooding in a few spots.
Aside from that, the worst of the steady rain looks to be over.

Watch live radar below and track the rain:

12:50 p.m.
The heaviest of the rain is across southeastern New York, but there are areas of moderate to heavy rain across western Connecticut. The rain is moving towards the north-northeast and will continue to impact areas mainly west of the I-91 corridor through 2 p.m.

11:45 a.m.
Most of Connecticut is dry, aside from a few sprinkles. A batch of heavy rain and thunder is being closely monitored just towards our west. Although most of this rain may miss Connecticut, it looks like extreme western sections of the state could get grazed by it.
