The work week ends on a wet note with periods of rain and possible thunder. 

Plumes of rain and thunderstorms will move from south to north across Connecticut and this activity is expected to continue through much of the day. 

10:00 a.m. 
Heavier rain and embedded thunderstorms are now firing up across western CT. This area of storminess can produce heavy rainfall and localized flash flooding. Also, some of the heavier echoes may produce thunder and lightning, making for a stormy morning.
Additional thunderstorms are expected to fire this afternoon. 
Periods of rain and thunder are likely to continue for the next several hours.

Bands of rain are moving across the state this morning. The rain is generally light to moderate, but some brighter echoes on radar indicate that locally heavy rainfall is possible in the stronger storms. Some thunder is possible, but severe weather is not anticipated.
