*Will Sandy follow Hazel's and Gale's path? Here's what The NWS has to say about it:

WHAT REMAINS UNCERTAIN IS THE TRACK AND EVOLUTION OF TS SANDY AND

ITS SUBSEQUENT INTERACTION WITH THE AFOREMENTIONED DEEPENING TROUGH

ACROSS THE CENTRAL CONUS. LOOKING FROM A CLIMATOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVE

AND EVALUATING THE LITERATURE...WE SEE PATTERNS FROM HAZEL IN 1954

CT's Full Forecast:

Scattered rain moving across the tri-state area will hang on a bit longer and keep that high pressure ridge that's headed our way, at bay. The front has stalled a bit, and this means that I do see the chance of rain hanging on through early Thursday (spotty at best).

However, we currently see mostly cloudy skies, with breaks in the rain, and really not much accumulation. Temperatures will be moderate tonight, ranging between the mid 40's to low 50's. Winds remain calm, but the rain won't totally taper off. I also expect some very light fog along valley areas. Otherwise things improve by late morning on Thursday, and we have mostly sunny skies for Friday with highs possibly reaching 70. Saturday brings a few more clouds and i now see the rain coming in early Sunday.

The major weather story is Tropical Storm Sandy, that may reach hurricane status within the next 12-24 hours. Will it make it to New England? It is too soon to tell, but Storm Team 8 is all over the path of its trajectory.
