It might be hard to see in the image above, but there have been several lightning strikes across the area, including southeastern sections of Connecticut.

The following towns had reports of thunder and/or lightning within the past hour:
Mystic, Norwich, Old Lyme, Pawcatuck and Groton.

Technically, severe thunderstorm conditions were recorded at Groton with winds to 60 MPH, thunder and heavy snow.
