Should we expect any more rain today?

4:20 p.m.
A few localized heavy showers are moving through eastern Connecticut.

Looking at the latest radar, the western half of the state is mostly dry right now, but that might change later today.

A few showers and weak thunderstorms are firing up across eastern New York and eastern Pennsylvania, as shown in the black circle.

This area of activity is moving towards the southeast, but I don't think rain will be a big story around western Connecticut. Precipitable water values are starting to drop off as the atmosphere is losing some of it's rain potential.

For the rest of today,
A few scattered showers will pass through, mainly across eastern Connecticut. There, some of the rain may be heavy, but outdoor plans in western Connecticut should be okay.
