As part of a re-analysis project I am working on for Thursday's severe weather outbreak, I decided to complete a set of surface maps for the event.

To better understand tornadoes, severe weather and exactly what happened that day, I thought it would be very interesting to check out the surface maps and radar.

In the following slides there are images from 18z Thursday, July 26 thru 00z Friday July 27.

The isobaric analysis is from SPC and I created everything else.

Keep in mind that this is an approximate re-analysis, it is somewhat subjective and not every single detail is exactly accurate or to scale.
