Eurasian Eagle Owl (largest owl species in the world) coming in for a special treat, a whole mouse.

The 2012 Hawk Migration Festival took place Sunday at Lighthouse Point, East Haven.

This area is the corridor where many hawks pass through on their way to winter locations.  Events took place all day, including birding walks for children, hawk identification, and two very special programs - one presentation by Horizon Wings (Raptor Rehab), and Skyhunters in Flight demonstrating the history and sport of falconry.
