We have an elevated severe weather threat for today. Please check my video for a full update.

Humid air in place and a changing wind field over the state will promote some strong thunder development. Strong wind gusts and a tornado possible from Philadelphia all the way to our local area here in Connecticut. It is not a guarantee, but can not be overlooked.

Please pay CLOSE attention to changing weather conditions this afternoon and evening. Also, it is a good idea to check in on possible watches and warnings. Remember, a warning is worse than a watch. A warning means it is happening or about to shortly.

Here is the Tornado outlook for the country and look how the area from PA. to Connecticut is highlighted-

**Update 12PM-This is the updated graphic and it has been shifted a bit south to now just include SW CT.

Some random showers and thunder could develop as early as around noon but not widespread. I think the severe threat goes higher from 3PM-8PM with the highest threat 5PM-8PM.

We will have your back right here online.

If you are in charge of a Camp outside, you should review your severe weather plan to get everyone inside as fast as you can. Some rough weather possible again Tuesday too!

Have a good day. -Gil
